At least 28 people have been killed and several others injured in the latest US assassination drone strikes in northwestern tribal belt of Pakistan, near the border with Afghanistan, Press TV reports.

The first attack took place on Friday when the unmanned aircraft targeted a house in North Waziristan region, claiming 9 lives.

At least 19 more civilians lost their lives in a second attack in the same volatile region.

Despite the Pakistani government’s repeated calls on Washington to end the drone attacks, the US government continues its strikes on the tribal regions of the country.

Washington claims its drone strikes target militants, although casualty figures clearly indicate that Pakistani civilians are the main victims of the non-UN-sanctioned attacks.

More than 150 people have died in drone attacks in Pakistan's northwest tribal regions since the beginning of this year.

The killing of Pakistani civilians, including women and children, in the US drone strikes has strained relations between the two allies, prompting Pakistani officials to send warnings to the US administration over the assaults.

On January 31, Obama publicly admitted to the use of the unmanned drones in Pakistan.

In response to questions about the use of the assassination drones by his administration in a chat with web users on Google+ and YouTube , he said “a lot of these strikes have been in the FATA” -- Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas, the official name for the country’s semi-autonomous tribal region, which encompasses North and South Waziristan.

The aerial attacks were initiated by former US President George W. Bush but have been escalated under President Barack Obama.

Unmarried English singer Adele is pregnant

The Rolling in the Deep singer has confirmed she and her boyfriend Simon Konecki are expecting their first child together and is “over the moon” to be expanding her family.
In a blog on her official website, Adele wrote: “Im delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx(sic)”
It is not known when the baby is due.
In January she had to debunk rumours Simon was still married, saying he had been divorced for four years.
She wrote: “This is the first and last time I will comment on the details of my relationship with Simon.
"Contrary to reports and headlines in the press today, Simon is divorced and has been for four years. Everyone in our lives separately and together wish us nothing but the best, and vice versa. These are the facts."
Earlier this year, Adele purchased a new mansion in Sussex, England with Simon.
A source said: “Adele fell in love with the house. She’s buying it immediately. It’s not as big as the rented place but it’s beautiful and they have a gorgeous sea view.”

Salman and Katrina in Thailand!

The cast and crew of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are in Thailand for the shooting of Kabir Khan’s film Ek Tha Tiger.

The teaser trailer of Ek Tha Tiger is out and has received a tremendous response. The film has been shot in Ireland, Turkey, Cuba, India and Thailand.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have been together through out the shoot. Rumors had it that the lost romance between the two is growing once again. However, a quick denial came from both of them.

“When we start working for a movie we go in as professionals. I am here to do my job and if people want to highlight baseless stories then it’s up to them. I don’t think that these stories will have any effect on my work and the film…I am never bothered about such stories. Why should I? I think it’s what every actor goes through,” Katrina Kaif had recently said.

The US Military Refused To Help in production of "The Avengers" because the movie was too unrealistic.

The US Military has a long history of helping filmmakers whenever they're making movies that portray the US Military in a good light. They have helped multiple productions, not just in a consulting role, but also providing soldiers as extras, and letting filmmakers shoot on military bases.  So, it was kinda surprising that they pulled out of consulting for The Avengers. The reason they gave was that the movie was too unrealistic. You might think that they were talking about the ridiculous spandex costumes or the alien invaders. You'd be wrong. The reason the movie was too unrealistic was because of S.H.I.E.L.D., the military organization that gathers and directs The Avengers.
What they were concerned about was much more simple than the technology. It was the chain of command. It's not entirely clear who S.H.I.E.L.D. responds too, who's in charge of S.H.I.E.L.D. This is what the Hollywood liaison for the military said: To whom did SHIELD answer? Did we work for SHIELD? It just got to the point where it didn't make any sense. We hit that roadblock and decided we couldn't do anything [with the film]."
So there you have it, if you want to make a film with the aid of the US Military you should make it really clear who's really calling the shots in the military. 

Indian Model/Actress Goes Nude on IPL Team KKR's Victory

No one knew this Kingfisher Calendar model until Poonam Pandey announced on Twitter that she would strip naked in the stadium if India won the 2011 Cricket World Cup. Today, nearly a year after the World Cup win, Poonam Pandey has finally gotten naked, in celebration of SRK's Kolkata Knight Riders beating the Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings in last night's IPL finale.

Poonam made her controversial offer on Twitter just before the semi-final in Mohali last year. But later she made a statement saying she would only do so if BCCI permits. She had even sent an official letter to the board, saying going naked for the team would have a "therapeutic" effect on Team India and help them win.

In the letter, she wrote: "..I want India to win the Cricket World Cup 2011 and am willing to go the extra mile to do anything so that India wins the World Cup. I am ready and willing at any place and time of the Indian teams choosing to go in the nude to boost their sporting spirit to perform better."

A complaint of obscenity was lodged against her and the Bharatiya Janata Party Women's Wing also filed a police complaint against her.

Known for posting racy pictures of herself on Twitter, she doesn't shy away from saying that this has helped her to become famous. Twitter was where she posted her latest picture, in the buff.

Previously, she had posted a picture of herself for Indian batsmen Virat Kohli, who led the Indian team to victory against Pakistan in the Asia Cup.

She had also dedicated a picture for the Indian skipper MS Dhoni earlier.

On March 20, protests were triggered in the Park Circus area of central Kolkata, by a photograph that was published in a local newspaper that was allegedly tweeted by the model.

That's not all, Poonam also welcomed the official Twitter account of the Prime Minister's Office in her own way. She tweeted, "#iHeard that @PMOIndia is on Twitter. Does he knows that @iPoonamPandey is on Twitter too...so a welcoming pic."

Along with the tweet she posted a picture of herself in a white bikini.

The 20-year-old model made her debut on television in the reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 4, which had Akshay Kumar as the host.

t is quite obvious when you look at him that Gul is no dandelion. His steely gaze and soldiered body speak of years of toil, pursuing something that does not come naturally to Pakistanis, let alone considered a serious career or lifestyle option in this part of the world.

Gul was born and raised in Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and his family moved to Karachi “around the same time when Bhutto was executed” after struggling to make ends meet. Karachi, to his father, not only offered the prospect of a better future but a chance to reconnect with family members who had migrated years ago. It also meant a higher cost of living for this family of nine.

“We had to hit the ground running when we moved. The presence of extended family in the city provided comfort but, understandably, no financial assistance. For my parents, it was a daily struggle to feed their seven children, four sons and three daughters, and save enough to pay the rent each month. Being the eldest of the sons, I started work early, often juggling two to three different jobs in a day,” Gul recalls.

He landed his first “real” job at the age of 15, working as a lighting technician in 1983 for Video Spot, a famous Karachi video-production house of the early 1980s. But even he was not quite ready for what followed.

“There were two guys, Aurangzeb and Lala, who used to come to work dressed in all black. At first, I thought it was because of Moharram but then one day they came to work with nunchakus. Needless to say, I was curious. I followed them after work to where the Benazir Park now is and started accompanying them regularly in the weeks to follow when I saw them flying around and doing splits. It was stuff that I had only seen in movies and had not imagined possible for Pakistanis to even attempt. I soon discovered what they were doing was Bando style karate.”

Ali Zafar and Shahid Kapoor Becoming Brothers

Ali Zafar has given his nod to play screen brother to Shahid Kapoor in the Hindi remake of Vettai. The Tamil blockbuster film Vettai is a story of two brothers played by Arya and Madhavan. Zafar would be replacing Madhvan who played the elder brother in the original Vettai and Shahid plays the part of Arya, the younger of the two brothers. Being a male-centric film, it involves lot of action and the chocolate boy Shahid would make his foray as an action hero. The director of the movie Vettai N. Linguswamy will be directing the Hindi remake of Vettai and this would mark his entry in the bollywood film industry.

After Sonakshi Sinha and Asin denied being part of the film, director Linguswamy approached the South Indian actress Ileana D’Cruz who has reportedly accepted the offer. The film is expected to go on floors in the first week of May at the Ramoji Film City. The film will be produced by UTV Motions Pictures.

Saif Ali Khan’s 16 years daughter Sara enters in a fashion globe

MUMBAI: Saif Ali Khan’s 16 year old daughter enters in a world of fashion. Sara is not completely shying away from the glamour world.

Fashion designers Abu Jani, and Sandeep Khosla who have recently launched their first ever pret label. They have asked Sara Ali Khan to join them and become their deliberate.

Khosla said, “It’s our 25th year in fashion, and we wanted to mark it by challenging ourselves to create outfits for a new demographic, at affordable prices.”

Sara, who’s worn ensembles since childhood, swears she’s never worn Indian designs by anyone other than Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.

She said, “Abu and Sandy love spoiling me. When they were in London, they bought me four pairs of shoes, five shirts and lots of accessories. I just have to say, ‘Sandy, I really like this’ and he gives it to me! My sense of fashion has entirely been shaped by them”.

According to her mother Amrita Singh said, “I’ve known the boys for over 22 years. Sara’s very first piece was this super cute lehenga they made for her when she was barely a year old. The majority of our wardrobe includes AJSK, and we prize their ensembles as timeless classics. I’ve kept all the pieces they’ve given Sara and me and I intend to pass them on as heirlooms to my grandchildren.”
