Burbach asylum centre seekers abused in German shelter by security contractors



At an asylum centre Police in Germany are investigating reports refugees were repeatedly abused by security guards. Germany have caught the attention of the federal government. Chancellor Angela Merkel's office has called for a "thorough" clarification of the reported incidents.

On Monday Chancellor Angela Merkel's spokesperson, Steffen Seibert told that  "It's  clear that these incidents must be clarified thoroughly,"
According to WDR, two male security staff who working   refugees housing facility had been abusing several of the residents.
On Sunday one of the security guards hit  man down with his boot.

This incident taken place in town of Burbach, which located in the western German state of North Rhine Westphalia (NRW).
Seibert said " if refugees were in fact abused and humiliated there - then those acts would be abominable," , adding that those responsible would be held accountable.
Over last two years Germany a large enterance of asylum seekers, according to UN figure more than 65,000 people applying for asylum in the first half of 2014.
German law stipulates that asylum seekers be divided among the states, first being assigned to a central facility and then transferred to local authorities. The sudden jump in the number of refugees has uncovered a number of challenges across the country's federal regions, including a significant housing shortage.
