Former Deputy Superintendent of Jammu and Kashmir Police was killed in Srinagar:
SRINAGAR; 10, Aug 2012: A Retired Deputy Superintendent of Police namely Abdul Hamid Bhat was killed on Friday by unidentified persons outside his residence in Moominabad Srinagar.
According to Sources he was in-charge of Police Station of M.R Gunj in 2010 where he booked more than 21 teenagers during the "Quit Kashmir Movement".
Also he was torturing the youths severely there.
Yet No group claimed responsibility of his killing but Police sources said that he was killed by persons of "Islamic Movement of Kashmir".
In past a month, 4 Police personnels have been shot dead across the valley including 2 on a single day in South Kashmir.
