Israel sending weapons to Syria Through Iraqi Kurdistan region with financial assistance from Qatar

Israeli airplanes are smuggling weapons into Syria through Iraq’s Kurdistan region, Syrian sources report.

Speaking at a ceremony in the southwestern city of Shahr-e Kord late on Thursday, Iranian Assistant Defense Minister Brigadier General Ali Shamshiri said that Iran is currently the fifth or sixth greatest missile power in the world.

He also noted that the Islamic Republic is in a superior position in terms of defense capabilities.
In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in the defense sector and gained self-sufficiency in essential military hardware and defense systems.
The country has repeatedly made it clear that its military might is merely based on the state’s defense doctrine of deterrence and that it poses no threat to other countries.
The United States, the Israeli regime, and some of their allies have repeatedly accused Iran of pursuing military objectives in its nuclear program. Washington and Tel Aviv have at times threatened Tehran with the “option” of a military strike against its civilian nuclear facilities.
Last November, Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi advised the US and its allies to realize Iran’s incredible might and know that in the event of any military aggression against Iran, the Islamic Republic will teach the Americans what war really is and what soldiers are supposed to be like.

Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Hossein Salami said on May 25 that all military bases in the Middle East are within the range of the Iranian-designed and -built missiles.

He added that Iranian surface-to-surface, surface-to-air and long-range ballistic missiles can reach any military bases in the region, and hit the desired targets with high precision.
Iran argues that as a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), it has every right to develop and acquire nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
