PPP, MQM, ANP involved in extortion: Malik

Karachi: Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), the Pakistan People’sParty (PPP),the Awami National Party (ANP) and some other parties  were involved in the extortion in Karachi.
He was speaking to media at the Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, on Monday.
Replying a query regarding law and order situation in Karachi, the minister said that arms were being smuggled in the city through Hub area.
Malik criticized the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz for opposing composition of probe body formed to investigate deadly air crash that killed 127  people  near Islamabad.
The minister said that  opposition leader Chaduhry Nisar Ali Khan was raising objection due to inclusion of a PCO judge in probe committee but there weer several PCO judges working in the country.
He said that the Bhoja Airline was awarded license during Nawaz Sharfi government.
Malik said that Air Blue was owned by a PML-N member Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
He said that investigation report into Air Blue crash was made public and it would be made again.
