Nawaz hits back at Zardari

PESHAWAR: Reacting to the ‘assault’ made by President Asif Ali Zardari, the PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif said thousands of people had attended funeral prayers of his father in Makkah.

Zardari had said on Thursday the Sharifs did not have enough followers to attend the funeral of their father.
During his interaction with journalists here on Friday, Sharif said he paid a visit to the ailing Hakim Ali Zardari in London and that he still today prays for the president’s farther.
He said that the country was facing crisis and only the people with a clear history could get the country out of the turmoil.
Talking of his previous government’s achievements, he said Pakistan was ahead of India when he was removed as the prime minister.
He said that drone attacks should not be carried out in the tribal areas, adding that talks should be held with Taliban without further delay as already much time had been wasted.
He said the United States should play a positive role in resolving the disputed Kashmir region.
