The PPP and its allies had nominated Nayyar Bukhari and Sabir Baloch for the post of chairman and deputy chairman respectively in a meeting held at the Presidency on Saturday.Syed Nayer Hussain Bukhari has been elected as Chariman Senate and Sabir Baloch as Deputy Chairman Senate unopposed on Monday. No one filed nomination paper till 12:00 noon today, resulting in his uncontested election.
Earlier today, 54 new members of Senate had taken oath after getting elected in elections held on March 02.
